February 18, 2010-Recruitment 101-Vestavia Hills Public Library
6:00 p.m

Have a daughter going through this fall recruitment or in the next four years? Do you write recs for family and friends, and they still don't get into ADPi? Being a legacy does not a guarantee a bid. Times have changed. It's no longer rush, it's recruitment. And it's no longer rushees, but potential new members (PNM). To give you a better understanding, look at these statistics:

  • Alabama had 1,600 girls go through recruitment in 2009 and the legacies were double the amount of the actual pledge class.
  • Auburn's Panhellenic made the sororities cut 50% of the PNM's after the first day.
  • Samford went from four rounds of parties to three cutting the opportunities for the chapter to vote from three to two.

We'll give you the inside scoop on how recruitment works from chapter advisors at Alabama, Auburn, Samford and Montevallo plus Province Director Cynthia Brast and International President Claire Gwaltney. They'll tell you how to make your daughter stand out in the crowd and how to improve your rec. This is a MUST-attend event. Be sure to pass it along to other sisters.
