Philanthropy Spotlight: Alpha Xi + Beta Alpha Alumnae Association RMHC Endowment Throw Down

College football is back and two of our alumnae associations took their school’s game to another level – with the RMHC Endowment winning big! The Alpha Xi (Ohio State) Chapter Alumnae Association challenged the Beta Alpha (Indiana University) Chapter Alumnae Association to raise funds for the RMHC Endowment during their home opener last week.

The RMHC Endowment is the permanent fund being created to support ALL Ronald McDonald House Charities globally. At present our chapters and alumnae associations are currently supporting 120 of the 366 houses worldwide. We are relying on the generous support of chapters, alumnae associations, and alumnae to help raise $1,000,000 by June 2018 so we can broaden our reach to support more houses.

The alumnae associations held the “throw down” last week during the season opener where the Ohio State Buckeyes took on the Indiana Hoosiers. Each alumnae association took the lead throughout the game, but ultimately, it was the Alpha Xi Alumnae Association who came out on top – perfectly paired with an Ohio State win. In total the group raised more than $1,100 for the RMHC Endowment.

If your association is interested in challenging another and having a similar football fundraising challenge, please let us know.
