Welcome to Alpha Delta Pi

at Texas Tech University

Update 7/2/09- For those sisters who sent Letters of Recommendation for Formal Recruitment and had them returned to sender: Please resend them to the same address.  We had a mix up with the Post Office that is now cleared up.  We are very sorry for any confusion this has caused.  Please feel free to contact Erin at (972) 965-9780 with any questions.

First. Finest. Forever. Since 1851.

Alpha Delta Pi was founded in 1851 and was the first secret society for women. Epsilon Epsilon chapter at Texas Tech University was founded in 1966 and currently has over 130 sisters. Throughout the year we participate in many events such as socials, philanthropy events, date parties, formals, intramural sports and much more!

We were named as Sorority of the Year at Texas Tech in 2003, 2004 and 2006!

"We Live For Each Other" is our open motto and our chapter truly exemplifies the values that encompass these words. We are known for our sisterhood within the Texas Tech Greek Community and it is recognized for its strength and integrity. The friendships that are created out of our sisterhood are genuinely lifelong, proud, and true.

"I went through Formal Recruitment with mixed feelings. I knew I wanted to be a part of something bigger than myself, but I was still skeptical of the stereotypes that are associated with Greek Life.  After a year in Alpha Delta Pi, I have now found that it is much more than girls 'paying for their friends' as so many people said to me. This truly is a sisterhood that strives to better the community around us and to better ourselves in the amazing friendships that we form. I know that my sisters will always be there for me and catch me when I fall. As a favorite quote of mine says, they are 'the smile, the kind word, the listening ear, the honest compliment and the smallest act of caring that turned my life around.'"

-Meredith Rogers, an Alpha Delta Pi sophomore
