Alpha Delta Pi Sorority and Foundation are pleased to announce our partnership with Steve and Rae Ann Gruver and the Max Gruver Foundation.
In September 2017, Steve and Rae Ann lost their son Max to a hazing incident in his fraternity at Louisiana State University. Since Max’s death, Steve and Rae Ann have traveled across the country sharing their message with high school and college students, and this fall, Alpha Delta Pi will join the Gruvers in spreading their message to collegians and alumnae across the United States and Canada.
Rae Ann, an alumna member of Alpha Delta Pi’s Zeta Nu chapter at Clemson University, and Steve started the Max Gruver Foundation to bring awareness and an end to hazing. The Foundation works through universities, students, and communities to encourage others to “Take Care of Each Other” by supporting anti-hazing legislation and educating collegians about the dangers of hazing activities.
Every Alpha Delta Pi chapter will receive marketing materials from Executive Office to share Max’s story and spread awareness on their college campus during National Hazing Prevention Week, September 24-28.
Together with the Gruvers, Alpha Delta Pi collegians and alumnae can #StoptheHazing culture in our society.
