History Made and History in the Making
In 2026 it will be 175 years since Eugenia Tucker and our founders established the first secret society for women, creating a foundation at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia on May 15, 1851, that would span more than a century and create a new path for women’s organizations everywhere.
Join in as Alpha Delta Pi embarks on a yearlong celebration, filled with events and opportunities for all members, as the first NPC organization to celebrate this historic milestone. Explore local and national sites that are an important thread in the fabric of our sisterhood, discover and connect with our history in ways you never have before, reunite with sisters and make new connections at reunions and special events across the United States, and participate in fun virtual opportunities.
Celebrate our most historic year yet at our 175th Anniversary Grand Convention in Palm Desert, California June 17-21, 2026. You do not want to miss this event, featuring special surprises that will be talked about for years to come. Get your violets, lions, and diamonds ready. Let’s celebrate our legacy past, present, and future in 2026.

Beginning in January 2026 and going until December 31, 2026, the year will be highlighted with special events scattered throughout the calendar. By incorporating a variety of technology and communication methods the committee wants to include as many sisters as possible in the preparations and actual events of the celebration. This website, designated to the 175th Anniversary, lists all the current information about plans, events, special dates, and how you, your chapter, your alumnae association, and your house corporation can participate and volunteer for subcommittees. It will be updated monthly as details are finalized, so check back often to fully experience this once in a lifetime event.
Start planning today how you will be part of the 175th Anniversary Celebration fun and sisterhood in 2026. We hope to see you at many events, but especially at Grand Convention, one of the highlight events, as Alpha Delta Pi is the first sorority to reach and celebrate this milestone anniversary.
Thank you to all the sisters who volunteered their time and talent in some aspect of planning for this celebration.
