The National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) recognizes Patty Purish O’Neill, Zeta Omega—Central Florida, with the 2025 NPC Distinguished Service Award, honoring an individual for lifelong service to the interfraternal community or NPC.
Patty has served as both an NPC volunteer, an Alpha Delta Pi Panhellenic volunteer, and a NPC staff member culminating in more than 30 years of service. In 2025, she concluded four years of service on the NPC Board of Directors.
In Alpha Delta Pi, Patty served as a Panhellenic Relations Director, Extension Director, on the NPC delegation, and as Chief Panhellenic Officer.
“Patty has made it a priority to share the sorority experience with as many women as possible,” said Alpha Delta Pi Executive Director, Amanda Sloan. “We are grateful for her NPC service and leadership among our peer organizations.”
Patty began her career as NPC’s Coordinator of Educational Programs, the first professional staff member of the NPC office. From 1993 to 1996, she developed educational programming for Panhellenic Councils and regional alumnae associations. Since that time, Patty has served in numerous other roles for NPC, including area advisor, strategic planning committee member, NPC Foundation president and secretary, and most recently as chair of the NPC Board’s Governance and Education Committee.
“Patty’s continuous and unwavering service to Alpha Delta Pi, NPC and the fraternity/sorority industry is an example to future generations that inspires dedication and support for the sorority experience,” said Kelly Beck, 2023-25 NPC chair.
