About Us

ADPi Housing & Facilities

We are tremendously grateful for the support of our sisters and Foundation friends who make it possible for us to provide emergency grants to members in crisis, scholarships and leadership training for collegiate and alumnae sisters, resources to fight hazing and support mental wellness, funding for the preservation of monuments and memorials unique to our history, and so much more!

Our last giving year running from August 1, 2023 to July 31, 2024 was a tremendous success. We received more than $4,250,00 in support from our donors, including an amazing $800,001 during our annual day of giving. It was another milestone year, and we couldn’t have done it without the loyal support of our members and friends.

Thanks to the generosity of thousands of members and friends of ADPi, the Foundation was able to provide the following during the 2023-2024 giving year:

Educate

  • Competitive academic scholarships worth more than $328,000 for undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education study to 171 recipients
  • Grants to universities to honor milestone chapter anniversaries and chapter installations on their respective campuses
  • Grants to the sorority for the preservation of our history, including a major investment in the preservation of objects, documents, photographs, and stories archived at Memorial Headquarters and in our forthcoming digital archives
  • Grants for qualifying spaces in seven chapter houses thanks to the donors who invested in those projects

Lead

  • Educational programming for chapter members, advisors, and alumnae attending ADPi Academy, Grand Convention, and through visits by the Chapter Support Coordinator team
  • Resources for our undergraduate members in the continued fight to prevent hazing, to support mental wellness

Local House Corporations

Alpha Delta Pi recognizes sixty local house corporations (abbreviated as “HC”) that are registered organizations through their state of operation and the IRS. Each HC is run by a board of volunteers. These volunteer boards follow a specific set of policies to keep their corporation in compliance with the federal government and Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. They hold general meetings throughout the year and an annual meeting for all members. Three Chapter Officers sit on each HC board — President, VP Finance, and VP Facility Management.

Each HC is responsible for many aspects of the facility and its membership including:

  • Keep an annual operating budget for the facility
  • Maintain up-to-date bylaws
  • Maintain insurance and inspection compliance
  • Oversee facility employees
  • Complete government required tax forms

If you have questions for a local house corporation, please reach out directly here.

Whether a chapter facility is operated by a local house corporation or ADPi’s IHC, it is the chapter’s responsibility to determine their live-in process, execute Resident Agreements, and set member related housing fees. For questions about a specific chapter facility or in-house process please contact the chapter directly.
