Dorothy Shaw Leadership Award

In our collegiate chapters, there are always women who parallel the kindred spirit and unselfish service of Dorothy Pierpont Shaw, Psi—California, Berkeley, remembered her for her ready laughter and smile, her unfailing kindness and thoughtfulness of others, and her intense loyalty in service to Alpha Delta Pi. Her life was generously and unselfishly entwined with Alpha Delta Pi. Dorothy Shaw winners strive to live out the tenets of our Creed—committing themselves not only to scholastics, but also to campus activities, service to the community, and often, internships and work. They are leaders in our Alpha Delta Pi chapters, contributing outstanding direction and guidance to fellow sisters. The Dorothy Shaw Leadership Award is the highest award bestowed upon a collegiate member.

Philanthropy Volunteer of the Year

This sister has exemplified our value of service to others through her commitment and passion Ronald McDonald House Charities and engaging campus-wide philanthropy efforts. She is known for her empathy, innovation, leadership, and service-oriented mindset by chapter advisors and RMHC staff, and she is recognized as a role model and change-maker throughout her campus and community. The current president of Zeta Gamma, she previously served as Director of Philanthropy, where she raised more than $44,000 for the Ronald McDonald House of Greater Charlotte. This effort was made possible by her leadership of the chapter’s first-ever Greater Charlotte Gala. She organized monthly dinner teams to support RMHC in person, helping feed over 460 people at the House in one year, and spearheaded the adoption of the House kitchen, the first space adopted by an organization in this House’s history. Beyond her work with our philanthropy partner, she coordinated a campus-wide Hurricane Helene relief effort, collecting 800+ items and raising $2,000 for affected families. On campus, Zeta Gamma earned university recognition for most philanthropy funds raised and service project of the year, due to the dedication of this volunteer who consistently goes above and beyond to support families in crisis.
