Dorothy Shaw Leadership Award
In our collegiate chapters, there are always women who parallel the kindred spirit and unselfish service of Dorothy Pierpont Shaw, Psi—California, Berkeley, remembered her for her ready laughter and smile, her unfailing kindness and thoughtfulness of others, and her intense loyalty in service to Alpha Delta Pi. Her life was generously and unselfishly entwined with Alpha Delta Pi. Dorothy Shaw winners strive to live out the tenets of our Creed—committing themselves not only to scholastics, but also to campus activities, service to the community, and often, internships and work. They are leaders in our Alpha Delta Pi chapters, contributing outstanding direction and guidance to fellow sisters. The Dorothy Shaw Leadership Award is the highest award bestowed upon a collegiate member.

Philanthropy Volunteer of the Year
As her chapter’s Director of Philanthropy, this sister didn’t just hold the title, she transformed what philanthropy looked like for her entire chapter. Under her leadership, her chapter raised more than $49,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Coastal Empire and the Alpha Delta Pi Foundation—their highest fundraising total in chapter history. At the 2025 Georgia Southern Fraternity Sorority Life Awards, her chapter took home both the Philanthropy Award and the Community Service Award. That is the result of this member’s vision, work ethic, and heart.
Her chapter president said it best in her nomination letter. She wrote that this member “doesn’t just ‘do’ philanthropy—she lives it,” that whether she was reading to elementary school students, serving at the soup kitchen, or walking alongside families at Ronald McDonald House, she brought the same level of enthusiasm and compassion to every single moment. She showed up early. She stayed late. And she made everyone around her want to do the same. She is someone who reminds us all why we chose a sisterhood that leads with service.
