What is the Alpha Delta Pi Foundation?
The Alpha Delta Pi Foundation is a separate 501(c)(3) organization, established to accept tax-deductible gifts to fund a variety of opportunities that benefit Alpha Delta Pi and its members, as well as the community at large.
Who is being asked to support the campaign?
Every member of Alpha Delta Pi will be asked to support the campaign, including alumnae, undergraduates, staff, parents, and friends. Funds from select businesses and foundations will also be sought.
May I make a contribution other than cash?
Yes. Gifts of appreciated stocks and bonds, real estate, life insurance and charitable trusts will be gratefully accepted. A planned giving expert will be made available upon request to help you understand the benefits of different methods of giving.
May I restrict my/our gift toward a particular aspect of these initiatives?
Yes. Your gift can be designated for a specific purpose. The campaign can also be supported with a named gift or a gift made to honor or memorialize someone.
Should I continue my support of the Annual Fund during the We Believe … Campaign?
Yes. The Alpha Delta Pi Foundation’s Annual Fund must continue to grow and thrive, providing support for the areas of greatest need within our organization.
How long is the pledge period?
A pledge period of five years has been established to facilitate the generous levels of giving necessary for the success of this campaign.
How much should I pledge to the campaign?
Only you can decide how much to give. Your pledge should be based on your ability to give, your understanding of the need and your belief in the mission of Alpha Delta Pi and the Alpha Delta Pi Foundation.
Will I be notified when the payments of my/our pledge are due?
Yes. Regular reminders based on the pledge program you request will be sent to you. Many sisters also choose to take advantage of the option to make a monthly gift through our electronic funds transfer program.
How will I be recognized for my/our gift?
Named gift opportunities have been created allowing donors to be permanently recognized for their contributions.
Is my contribution tax-deductible?
Yes. Contributions to the Alpha Delta Pi Foundation are tax deductible as allowable by law. However, it is always appropriate to consult with your own financial advisor in order to be knowledgeable of the latest tax implications for charitable giving.
