Can you believe it? We’ve been calling Ronald McDonald House Charities our national philanthropy for 38 wonderful years! Let’s look at some of our highlights from this dynamic, multi-million partnership, and how we’re looking ahead to the future. 
- To date, our chapters and alumnae associations have raised more than $12.7 Million for RMHC.
- The first year we surpassed the $1 Million mark was 2013-2014. We have raised more money each subsequent year!
- Team ADPi running as part of Team RMHC has raised more than $191,000 and covered over 3,800 miles in the Chicago Marathon in the past five years.
- Over the last five years, our chapters and alumnae associations have logged nearly 200,000 service hours for RMHC which equates to more than $4,476,000 in volunteer time.
Why and How We Continue to Support RMHC
Did you know there’s at least one RMHC program that provides care for families being served at 90 percent of the top children’s hospitals worldwide. Because of RMHC, families around the world have saved about $830 million in meal and out-of-pocket lodging costs.
Ronald McDonald House Charities truly consider us a model partner. Not only are we one of the longest standing partnerships (right behind McDonalds and Coca-Cola Enterprises) but we support RMHC through hands-on volunteer service, stocking their houses with in-kind items, and also through financial support. This is why RMHC has recognized us as a Platinum Chapter Partner.
Our chapter philanthropy events have run the gamut – Run for Ronald 5K, Hoops and Hogs (basketball and BBQ), Diamonds in the Dugout baseball tournament, ADPidol singing competition, Teeter Totter marathons, Tee Off for Ronald golf tournament, ADPiHop pancake dinner, Kickin’ it with ADPi kickball tournament, ADPizza dinner, and of course silent auctions.
More Than Just 4 Years
Our alumnae have carried on their philanthropic spirit for RMHC long after they graduate. We have alumnae on staff at a number of RMHC’s around the country. We also have many alumnae associations supporting their local RMHC with drives for items on the wish list. And finally, our alumnae associations host a number of events to raise money including profit share nights at local restaurants or boutiques, poinsettia and pecan sales, garage sales, concession sales at sporting events, and they even host joint events with their local chapters.
The Future of Philanthropy
The Alpha Delta Pi Foundation created a permanent fund in 2014 to support RMHC houses that our chapters and alumnae associations don’t currently support. At present, there are more than 364 Ronald McDonald Houses worldwide spanning 43 countries. Our chapters and alumnae associations are currently supporting a third of these. 
With a $1,000,000 goal for our newly established RMHC Endowment, once fully funded we will be able to expand our reach supporting houses that do not have a local chapter or alumnae association nearby, as well as assisting RMHC’s with building and renovation projects so they can continue focusing on keeping families together.
